Qigong

Qigong is a practice that dates back several thousand years. "Qi" is Life-Force/energy, and "Gong" means practice, skill. Love is the source of everything and through practicing qigong, one will be working with the exchange and interflow of energy; the qi; receiving from and returning to the Universe. The practice will work on opening the heart, cultivating the power of Divine Love; a connection to the essence of The Universe.

Practicing the moving forms as well as the non-moving forms will have several functions; it is a spiritual qigong because it opens the heart and elevates the spirit, it is an emotional qigong, since the practice will clear blockages, remove stress and anxiety and one will feel calm, and balanced. It is a medical qigong, since it will result in having a healthier body-it improves circulation, increases flexibility, and strengthens the overall body; it restores, and clarifies the energy. Through practice one can achieve balance in themselves and their lives on all levels as well as a pathway in connecting with the Infinite, it is a timeless healing practice.

It is the art of using the breath, gentle movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate the life energy/qi. One can experience heightened awareness and connection with the Universe. It also leads to better health and vitality and a tranquil state of mind, it works on the physical body as well as emotions; resulting in longevity.

Medical Qigong

Medical Qigong is a form of etheric-body work; a non-invasive, safe and gentle external form of affecting and directing Qi, (chi) or the life force, for medical benefit. It relies on the ability of the practitioner to direct Qi with the mind and the hands, but without necessarily touching the body. Medical Qigong requires knowledge of the organs as applied in Chinese Medicine, the meridians; which are the energy pathways in the body, as well as the energy movement and its directional correlation.

I use Medical Qigong as an external form, where I treat a client, and as an internal form where the client learns to manipulate his or her own Qi for specific medical purposes using exercises designed especially for him or her. This type of "energy work" is subtle and precise, refined and profoundly effective. Medical Qigong healing sessions and treatments requires disciplined, focused mind, as well as using subtle perception and an intuitive sense for multi-dimensional diagnosis. I occasionally blend energy-body work with physical-body work (simple qigong exercises) depending on the case.

Medical Qigong can help treat and heal many physical health issues, since diseases are based in disharmony of energetic patterns.
